GirlGoTravel: Female Solo Traveler Feature #11

Sara recently completed a 3-month bicycle tour of the west coast of America by herself. Sara didn't grow up biking nor was she a competitive cyclist. Her love for exploring by bike started a couple years ago after a trip to Vancouver, Canada. Biking allowed her to flexibly move throughout a city, breathe fresh air, feel good from exercising and experience things she wouldn't experience from a car. After that trip she started biking around and eventually adventure called.

This was right off of the Snake River in Idaho. We hiked down to a museum that was not accessible by car. The only way you could visit was by hiking or along the river.

Here I am with all of my gear. I ended up riding to Missoula, Montana where the headquarters for Adventure Cycling Association is located. We weighed my bike with everything on it and it came out to about 86 pounds.
